Importing ingredients from CSV
Loading many ingredients at once, with a preview and errors before you confirm.
Vejledningen findes på italiensk og engelsk: den engelske version vises her.
If you already keep ingredients in a spreadsheet, import them from Ingredients › Import CSV.
Preparing the file
Start from Download the CSV template: it has the columns and an example row. One ingredient per row, with:
| Column | Content |
|---|---|
name |
Label text (required) |
internal_name |
Internal name |
code |
Code |
| nutrition values | Per 100 g, one column per nutrient, for example fat_g, salt_g |
allergens |
Allergen codes or names, separated by | |
A file can have up to 2,000 rows. Columns the program does not know are ignored, and it tells you which.
Preview and confirmation
After choosing the file you see a summary: how many rows will be imported and which have errors, with the reason (required field empty, invalid number, value above 100 g per 100 g, unknown allergen, duplicate row, an ingredient with the same code or name already existing). Rows with errors are skipped; fix the file and upload it again if you need them.
Import confirms: the ingredients are created with a manually entered "Main" nutrition profile.
