Label statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Draft | Calculated live, not yet approved |
| In review | Submitted for review, awaiting approval |
| Approved | The version in force for that market |
| Superseded | An earlier version, replaced by a newer one |
| Obsolete | Approved, but the data it was calculated from has changed (an ingredient, an intermediate, the settings): it needs review |
The Labels page shows the latest version of every product per market, with filters for status and market.
Products to review
When you edit an ingredient, a profile, an intermediate or the label settings, a notice tells you before saving how many products and approved labels are affected. After saving, those products appear in Home › To do and in the To review after a change filter. Approved labels do not change by themselves and become Obsolete.
Opening a product to review shows the reason (an ingredient's values, an intermediate, the settings, the databases or the market rules changed) and See the comparison with the last approved version. Check the preview and approve to create the new version.
New versions in bulk
In the product list, with the To review filter, Create new versions recalculates and approves in one go the label of each active market for products that had an approved label. It uses one approval per changed label; products with blocking errors stay to review, those already up to date use nothing. If the plan's approvals run out, the rest stay to review.
Comparison
In the product's Versions tab, under Compare, choose From and To among the versions and the Current draft. You see the differences in the ingredient list, "contains", "may contain" (added and removed parts highlighted) and the nutrition declaration per 100 g, with value before, after and the difference.
Restoring a version
Restore on a version brings it back as the draft: composition, groups, process, texts, statements and markets return to how they were at approval. The ingredients' nutrition values and allergens stay as they are today, so the recalculated label may differ from that version. Rows whose ingredient no longer exists are removed, and you are told.
Restoring replaces the current draft and asks for confirmation. Approved versions do not change. Versions approved before restore existed have no saved draft and cannot be restored.
