Spec sheet
The Word or PDF document filled with a version's data, from your organization's template.
The spec sheet is a document for customers, distributors and inspections: label texts, allergens, composition, QUID, nutrition table and statements of an approved version, laid out in your Word template.
Downloading it
In the label studio, below the export, choose Product spec sheet (Word) or PDF. The document uses the first selected language.
The template
In Settings › Labels › Spec sheet template you see the template in use. Without an uploaded template the example is used: Download the example to start from it.
To use your own document:
- download the example or open your company template in Word;
- insert placeholders in curly braces where you want the data, for example
{product_name}for the name of the food; - upload it with Upload a Word template (
.docx).
The template is checked on upload and invalid placeholders are reported. Placeholder rules:
- those with
@(formatted texts, such as{@ingredients}, the ingredient list with allergens emphasised) must stand alone in a paragraph; - loops
{#nutrition}…{/nutrition}repeat their content: inside a table row they repeat the row, for example one per nutrient.
The full list of placeholders is on the settings page, next to the template. Back to the example removes the uploaded template.
Logo and images
The organization's logo and the product's photos (from its attachments) can appear in the document, including the header.
