Creating and managing products
The product list, statuses, duplicating, archiving and deleting.
Rokasgrāmata ir pieejama itāļu un angļu valodā: šeit ir redzama angļu valodas versija.
New product
From Products › New product enter the Name of the food (the legal name printed on the label, translatable later) and, if you need one, a code. Tick It's an intermediate if the product will be an ingredient of other recipes (see Intermediates). Create and open takes you to the editor.
The editor
The editor has the product tabs on the left and the Label preview with the Completeness panel on the right:
| Tab | Content |
|---|---|
| Composition | Ingredients, intermediates and additives with quantities |
| Process and pack | Weight loss, portion, net quantity, optional declarations, cost |
| Texts and statements | Name of the food, statements, may contain |
| Markets and languages | Active markets and label languages |
| Versions | Approved labels, comparison, restore |
| Attachments | Product files: photos, sheets, certificates |
Everything saves by itself while you work.
Statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Draft | Just created or in progress |
| Active | In production. Set it with Mark as active in the product menu |
| Archived | No longer made: it leaves the lists (still visible when filtering by status) and does not count among the plan's active products |
The plan's active products are all those not archived, drafts included; the example product does not count. To free up room, archive products you no longer make.
List and filters
The Products list is searched by name or code and filtered by status, type (finished products or intermediates) and To do: to review after a change, without an approved label, without ingredients, with missing translations.
Duplicating
Duplicate copies recipe, groups, process, texts, statements and markets into a new draft product with a new name. Approved labels are not copied: the copy needs its own approval.
Deleting
From the product menu you can delete it: it leaves the lists. An intermediate used in other products cannot be deleted while they use it.
