Name of the food
The Name of the food is the product's legal name (Article 17 of Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011), required in every label language. If it names an ingredient ("breadsticks with extra virgin olive oil and rosemary"), that ingredient's QUID becomes mandatory and the program flags it.
Statements
Statements are the label's other particulars. Those with an asterisk are mandatory in the EU:
| Statement | Notes |
|---|---|
| Date of minimum durability or use-by date* | The statement text, for example "Best before:" |
| Storage conditions | "Store in a cool, dry place" |
| Food business operator* | Name and address, from settings |
| Country of origin or place of provenance | Where required |
| Instructions for use | When the product would be hard to use without them |
| Alcoholic strength by volume | For drinks above 1.2% alcohol |
| Special conditions of use | When needed |
| Lot | The text before the lot number |
Grey statements come from the organization's default statements, language by language: the product inherits them and updates when you change them in settings. Typing in the field makes the statement specific to this product; Restore the organization's goes back to the inherited one.
May contain
Here you list possible cross-contacts for this product, beyond those of the suppliers. Below you see those coming From the production site: untick them to exclude them from this product, if there is no risk on that line.
The text before the list ("May contain traces of:") is set per language in Settings › Labels.
