Markets and languages
One label per market, label languages and suggested translations.
Vodič je dostupan na talijanskom i engleskom jeziku: ovdje je prikazana engleska verzija.
Markets
Each active market produces a label with its own calculation, rounding and layout rules:
| Market | Main rules |
|---|---|
| European Union | Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011, 2012 EU guidance on tolerances and rounding, Regulation (EC) No 1333/2008 on additives |
| United Kingdom | Food Information Regulations 2014 |
In the Markets and languages tab enable the markets where you sell that product, among those of the organization and your plan. Other markets (United States, Canada, Gulf countries, Australia and New Zealand) are coming soon.
Label languages
Choose which languages to print the label in: Italian, English, French, German, Spanish. Some markets require one (for example English for the United Kingdom), as the program shows. The number of languages per label depends on the plan.
Each active language needs the name of the food, every ingredient's label text and the statements. Allergens, additive names and nutrition table headings are already translated with the official texts.
Missing translations
When a text is missing in a language, the preview falls back to the default language and Completeness reports it as an error: "missing text in…". In Home and the product list the Missing translations filter gathers the products to complete.
Texts in several languages and translation
Every multilingual text (name of the food, statements, portion description, group names) is a single field with the product's languages as tags above it: IT, EN, FR… Clicking a tag shows the text in that language; a red dot marks languages still empty. The languages are those of the product's active markets: change them in Markets and languages and the fields to fill change too.
The button with the translation icon, next to the tags, fills every missing language in one go with machine translation, starting from the first language already written. Always read translations before approving: ingredient and allergen names must be right for the country of sale. Machine translations have a monthly limit.
