Users, roles and security
Inviting colleagues, the five roles and what each can do, two-step verification.

Roles
| Role | What it can do |
|---|---|
| Owner | Everything, including plan, billing and deleting the organization |
| Admin | Manages settings and users (except owners) and works on all data |
| Editor | Creates and edits ingredients, products and labels and submits them for review. Approves only if separate approval is off. Deletes only their own drafts |
| Reviewer | Sees everything and approves labels, without editing data |
| Viewer | Sees the data and exports approved labels only |
Inviting a user
In Settings › Users enter the email and choose the role, then Send invitation: an email arrives with a link to join the organization, valid for 7 days. Pending invitations are listed below and can be cancelled. The number of users depends on the plan: pending invitations count too.
From the same page you change a member's role or remove them: they can no longer access the organization's data, and you can invite them again. Owners and admins can change roles and remove members; an admin cannot touch owners.
Two-step verification
With two-step verification, signing in requires, besides the password, a 6-digit code from an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, 1Password…).
To turn it on: user menu › Account security › Enable, enter your password, scan the QR code with the app (or type the key) and confirm with the code. Save the backup codes: they help if you lose your phone, each works once and you will not see them again.
When signing in you can tick Remember this device for 30 days so you do not enter the code every time on that device.
Making it mandatory
In Settings › Users › Two-step verification, the owner or an admin can make it Required for all members. They must turn it on for their own account first. Members who have not enabled it set it up at their next sign-in and cannot work in the organization until then.
Forgotten password
From the sign-in page, Forgot password? sends a link to choose a new one, valid for one hour. After the change, sessions on other devices are signed out.
